FIRST RESPONDERS

System Concept
First responders working with chemicals or smoke, require a respiration mask. The respiration mask is an audio obstacle and reduces the audio quality significantly.
The most common scenario is that 2 users are working in pairs. While at the same time being able to communicate in Full Duplex, and also being able to listen to the external radios. When the radio needs to be answered, a large easy-access PTT is needed.
Inside the mask the respiration sound is very loud, and will often interfere with the microphone. At IWCS we always recommend to use noise cancelling boom microphones, as the most loud and clear voice reception comes through the mouth. Therefore, any solution using iriComm headset (for inside a HazMat suit) or a FireComm (Firehelmet plug-in) solution, will provide the best sound quality.
