Integrating your external radios with the intercom system provides additional safety for the crew and simplicity of operation. IWCS Radio Interface is the audio and control link between your external radio and your iriSound Intercom system.
The number of external radios in an iriSound intercom system is virtually unlimited, but typically the realistic number is between one and five.
The radio interface is designed to provide a fully isolated interface towards the external radio, eliminating the risk of ground loops and audible noise. PTT signaling can come via iriSound, but an external PTT button can also be connected.
The radio interface works with all radios having an external (front or rear) interface for handmike or line-level audio & PTT. This includes (but is not limited to):
Sailor 62XX series
Motorola MTM 5400
Harris (MIL-users only)
Raymarine Ray60 & Ray70
